SMALL DETAILS. BIG DIFFERENCE. / 02

“Clean” should
mean something.

Every download comes with the structure and provenance you need to understand what you’re joining.

01

One row. A defined meaning.

Each crosswalk documents its unique key. Many-to-many mappings stay intact, so you can handle splits and combinations deliberately.

02

Codes stay codes.

Source code text and NDC hyphens are preserved. Import identifier columns as text to keep spreadsheet software from changing them.

03

Know where it came from.

A metadata file records source URLs, the production date, the row count, and a SHA-256 checksum for the CSV.

BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD / 03

A few useful answers.

What do I receive?

A ZIP containing a UTF-8 CSV and a metadata.json file. After Stripe confirms your payment, you’ll return to a private download page. Save that page’s URL if you want to download again.

Can I use these in Excel, SQL, or a CRM?

Yes. The files are ordinary, flat CSVs. In Excel, use Data → From Text/CSV and set code columns to Text. Check your CRM’s field names and import rules before loading. Both datasets are many-to-many crosswalks, so joining them may produce multiple matches.

Does the drug crosswalk cover every NDC?

No. This March 20, 2026 snapshot maps 164,012 of 248,601 NDCs (about 66%) to 627 ATC-4 groups. Some products have no mapping. It includes ATC levels 1–4, not level 5, and is intended for data analysis rather than clinical decisions.

Is this a subscription?

No. Each price is a one-time payment for the dated snapshot shown. It does not include ongoing updates.

Why pay if the source data is public?

You’re paying for the extraction, transformation, crosswalk assembly, and packaging. The source agencies provide the underlying data; Actually Clean Data is an independent service and is not affiliated with them.
